Accessibility statement
Last updated November 2, 2026
Altshuler Inc. is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities, and to applying the relevant accessibility standards. This statement applies to altshulerinc.com.
Conformance target
This website is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the benchmark referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Integrated Accessibility Standards, the Accessible Canada Act, European standard EN 301 549 under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and courts and regulators applying the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act.
Conformance status
We consider this website partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that automated and manual tests carried out to date have found no failures, but testing with assistive technology on physical devices is not yet complete (see Known limitations).
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, labelled landmarks, a "Skip to content" link and breadcrumbs.
- Full keyboard operation in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Text and interface colours that meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Content that reflows without sideways scrolling at 320 CSS pixels wide and at 200% and 400% browser zoom, and that adapts to user text spacing.
- Interactive targets of at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8).
- Text alternatives for informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields with visible labels, required fields identified in text, error messages in plain language linked to their fields, and status messages announced to screen readers.
- Automated testing with axe-core on every page at phone, tablet and desktop sizes before each release.
Settings this website detects automatically
This website reads the preferences you have set on your device or in your browser and adapts to them, with no action needed on your part:
- Reduce motion. When your device asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
- Increase contrast. When your device asks for more contrast, secondary text is shown in full-strength colour, borders are strengthened and links are underlined.
- Forced colours. In Windows High Contrast mode and other forced-colour modes, the site uses your chosen system colours, and buttons and the current page keep a visible outline or underline.
- Text size and zoom. Text uses relative units and follows your browser's text size and zoom settings.
- Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. These privacy signals are detected and honoured, as described in our privacy policy.
Provisions for specific needs
- People who are blind or have low vision. The site is built to work with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack and with screen magnification, and contains no information conveyed by colour or images alone.
- People who are deaf or hard of hearing. This website contains no audio or video content, and no information is conveyed by sound. All content is available as text. Communication with us is in writing, so no telephone is needed. If we add audio or video in future, it will have synchronised captions and a transcript.
- People with motor or dexterity disabilities. Every function is operable by keyboard, switch access and voice control, with large targets and no time limits or complex gestures.
- People with cognitive or learning disabilities. We use plain language, consistent navigation and layout, no flashing content, no automatically moving content, and clear instructions and error messages on forms.
Known limitations
- Testing with screen readers on physical phones and computers is not yet complete.
- Screenshots in our case studies show other websites and apps. Their content is described in the surrounding text, and the screenshots themselves are not intended to be read.
Alternative formats and assistance
On request, and at no cost, we will provide any content on this website in an accessible alternative format, such as accessible PDF, large print or plain text, or a communication support suited to your needs, within a reasonable time and in consultation with you.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, need content in another format, or want to tell us how we can improve, please contact us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the accessibility or human rights authority in your jurisdiction.
Compatibility
This website is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and with the assistive technologies built into iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Android and Windows. It relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript; all content remains available if JavaScript is turned off.
Assessment and review
This website was assessed by self-evaluation, using automated testing with axe-core and manual checks of keyboard use, zoom, reflow and user preference settings. This statement was last reviewed on November 2, 2026, and we review it whenever the website changes significantly.
